This time its Sudheendra Kulkarni to leave BJP. The former BJP national secretory broke all ties with party today. The IIT graduate was once a key aide of Vajpayee and Advani. The reason given by Kulkarni is ‘ideological differences’ with the party. The party's reaction remians to be seen. The BJP is presently saying that quiting of Kulkarni will not make a difffrence since he was not a official party member. The timing of quiting is very bad for BJP and specially for Advani.
Kulkarni has already started causing the damage to Advani by equating the content on Jinnah in Jaswant Singh's book and Advani's book and his speech in Pakistan on Jinnah. By equating Jaswant Singh and Advani the focus has come back on the top leadership. The crises within BJP has surely deeepen and one question which everybody seem to be raising "is BJP finally tumbling" ?
It remains to be seen how BJP will handle this situation. Will the party rise from this revolt by some of its oldest members or will it get divided like Jan Sangh ?
